Coca-Cola FEMSA

Coca-Cola FEMSA (KOF) has its origin in 1979 when FEMSA acquired its first franchise of the Coca-Cola system in the Valley of Mexico and the Southeast. With the acquisition of the largest franchise in the Coca-Cola system in Latin America (Panamco) in May 2003, this business unit constitutes the second largest bottling company of the Coca-Cola system, representing about 10% of the Global sales of Coca-Cola. It is the largest bottler in Latin America, distributing approximately 2 billion unit cases a year, equivalent to approximately 40% of the sales volume of Coca-Cola in the region.

In January 2007, in partnership with The Coca Cola Company, KOF acquired Jugos del Valle (JDV) which helped to achieve a strong market presence in the beverage industry both in Mexico and Brazil.

In late 2008, Coca-Cola FEMSA acquired the water business Agua de los Angeles in the State of Mexico. This operation was performed in order to grow within the water market segment as well as to consolidate and expand its drink portfolio.

In Mexico Coca-Cola FEMSA has a 50% sales volume rate within the Coca-Cola system in the country, it distributes brands of The Coca-Cola Company such as Coca-Cola, Diet Coke, Vanilla Coke, Beat, Delaware Punch , Fanta, Fanta Multi-flavors, Fresca, Fresca Toronja Rosa, Lift, Lift Manzana Verde, Quatro, Senzao, Sprite, Sprite Light, Sprite Zero, Sidral Mundet, Sidral Light, Mundet Multi-flavors, Prisco, Ciel water and Ciel sparkling water in a substantial part of central Mexico and the Bajio regions (including Mexico City) as well as the Southeast (including the Gulf region).
